View from Place du Pin, looking south towards the sea, up rue Emmanuel Philibert. The Kyriad Hotel is on the right and my Residence 'Port Nicea' (the ochre-coloured building) is on the left. The all seasons Hotel mentioned above right is next door to the Kyriad Hotel further along rue Emmanuel Philibert and almost opposite our apartment block.

View from Place du Pin, looking up rue M Seytour, behind the Kyriad Hotel. The trees that you can see in the distance are on the start of the slope at the back of the 'Colline du Chateau' or Castle Hill, two minutes walk away.
When I was browsing the internet, I found an apartment to rent by Place du Pin . For more details click on the photo above or here. To rent an apartment in my block - Residence Port Nicea, on rue Emmanuel Philibert please check out the links on my Port Nicea Rentals page.

Still prefer a hotel but looking more upmarket? Two of the nicest hotels in Nice, see photograph below, are close to the Port, just continue around the foot of the Chateau Hill on the way to the Promenade des Anglais and you will find La Perouse and its neighbour La Suisse. La Perouse is expensive but can offer rooms/suites with unrivalled balcony views across the bay plus a courtyard restaurant and pool. La Suisse offers fewer facilities, no pool but is exceptional value and more importantly, it consistently gets great reviews on tripadvisor.com
new for 2007 Newly renovated 1-bed apartment in old Nicoise building near the Port in a bustling area, right in the thick of it. Suitable for a couple.
