| Introduction AllaboutNice.com is a travel guide about Nice, capital of the Cote d'Azur or French Riviera in the South of France. You will find tips and advice on restaurants, shopping, travel & transport, beaches, accommodation and where to go and what to see in Nice plus useful links and resources. Please navigate through my site via the links on the left or through the buttons above or use the drop down site map above. You might find this site useful if you are planning to visit Nice for a holiday or if you are planning to buy an apartment or studio in Nice. You can find more information about Nice from links to other websites in my practical guide page. Guide books about Provence and the Cote d'Azur all contain sections about Nice - please see my recommended books . I definitely recommend these two small pocket guides to start you off - the AA Nice City Guide and the Walk & Eat Nice guide. If you are familiar with Nice then I should welcome information or links about this vibrant city. For example, restaurant recommendations or, if you have an apartment to rent I may be able to add a linl to this site. The part of Nice that interests me the most is the area around the Port of Nice known as Nice le Port where we have a second holiday home, a tiny studio apartment in Residence Port Nicea. It also makes a handy base for skiing in the winter. I also contribute tips about Nice on the travel website Virtualtourist.com under the name of allaboutnice and to the 'Things to do in Nice' pages on the excellent tripadvisor.com website.
